Shukkei-en Garden - Hiroshima City

This one of my favorite places in the world hidden amidst busy downtown Hiroshima. Most of you know that I am not artist, but I was so inspired by the beauty of this place even I tried to do some sketches. I spent nearly 3 hours there enjoying the sun, the plum tree and cherry tree blossoms, and the many beautiful views within the garden. No karaoke here!

The original garden was of course destroyed in the atomic bombing and recently a small collective grave was discovered there of those who died in the atomic bombing over 60 years ago. There is a small monument in their memory.
