Epic Arches - S. Utah (2)

On the morning of our 1st day at Arches National Park we decided to take what seemed to be the longest hike you could take in the winter season. The hike to Double Arch took about 3.5 hours round trip and gave us a chance to see several amazing arches and views along the way. It was a great time to be at the park not just because its low season in terms of tourism, but the look of the famous red rock structures with the snow on top, just awesome

The first arch of the tour was Landscape Arch

On our way to Double Arch (which was a bit underwhelming after all the effort we put in to get to it) we got the chance to see some amazing landscapes, like this view here...

Here is Morten standing in the lower part of the Double Arch.

In truth my favorite arch of this tour was Partition Arch which doesn't typically end up in the highlights of the main arches to check out. From here we could see the valley below that we hiked through at the beginning of the tour.

Of course we had to find the hard way to get from the valley up to the higher elevation. Some people just climbed over rocks, we took.... well lets just say the route less chosen...
