To the Top of Europe!

After introducing Anne to cheese fondue in Grindelwald we were off to Jungfraujoch, the location of the highest elevation rail station in Europe. The weather wasn't the best for the trip but we enjoyed the trip. Anne is teaching geology this year at school so we have a lot of pictures of rocks.

These pics are from the ice museaum/attraction IN the glacier. So here I am about 7-10 meters below the top of the glacier, cool huh? There were all sorts of ice carvings but I liked these penguins the best.

As you can see here our visibility was pretty nil, be we can assure you that it was cold! Some crazy people went up there in flip flops and must have had a terrible time.

Funny thing about Interlaken and Jungfrau were the gads of Japanese tourists everywhere and the signed in nihongo (japanese) everywhere we went in the area!
