Interning at the South Centre
Working with the amazing group of people at the South Centre this summer was an incredible experience for many different reasons. It was fantastic to have the opportunity to learn about Geneva politics, global trade, and world affairs from big international organizations, diplomats, and several NGOs.
The South Centre is a small organization with only 20 or so full time staff and a few part-time staff and interns. Despite its small size the organization puts out amazing work for the benefit of all developing countries. It contributes valuable research and ideas on discourses related to intellectual property, development, human rights, the WTO, migration and much more.
The intelligent, committed, and inspiring people I met at the South Centre were without a doubt the highlight of my summer.
Here are some pics of some amazing South Centre folks!
Cathy and Margaret, a kick butt awesome lady I had the pleasure to get to know.

Cathy and Joseph (who can really cut up the dance floor, as we found out at Gale's going away party ;-)

Going Away Lunch with Vice (my great supervisor) Vikas, Oueseph, and two other interns from the local university.

Last night in Geneva - A group South Centre outing for Ethophian food and Traditional Dance. Thanks for organizing Samuel!
