Snorkeling Outside of Bailan Village, Nov '06
In the southern part of Koh Chang is a quickly transforming fishing village called Bailan. From there we took a boat trip out to some of the nearby islands that are part of a national marine park in Thailand to check out the amazing variety of aquatic life in the reefs there.
The village of Bailan seems to have new building going up on walkways branching off the main pier in any direction that you go. The majority of the shops, new guest houses, and scuba/snorkling tours are all located in this pier area where everything is built on stilts over the water.
The last pic is of the guys that took us out to the islands that day.
